This season’s key looks from Sonneti fuses fifties styling with a retro sportswear for a luxe look which references dressed down Riviera chic. Fine vertical stripes provide a preppy edge to the range and lightweight summer fabrics have maximum impact worn layered up with block muted shades.
Monochrome is key to this summer look with shades of cool greys varying through from black right through to crisp white, all providing a clean canvas to compliment the new season’s bright blues. Block retro brights are given a modern spin with utility styling while blue and white combinations give this range a nautical feel.
Key styles include short bomber jackets and golfer knits which further reference the affluent Riviera dresser. Graduated stripes compliment the many key separates of solid colour while geometric prints add a retro twist on this thoroughly modern collection.
Denim remains key in Sonneti’s new range with the brand offering a variety of shades from a monochrome colour pallet from their Spring / Summer ‘08 denim collection. Colours have been given a worn look for an aged, vintage effect. Other washes include dark rinses such as deep indigos and dirty blues, many of which have been mercerized to improve the feel of the fabric.
The fits of Sonneti’s new season jeans include drop down slim fits, which include stretch for added comfort; regular fit, bootcut and slim fit. Other fabrics within the new season range include lightweight nylons, proofed cottons and mercerised jerseys for a final look which is both comfortable to wear and modern at the same time.
